Electric Motor Bearings. Noisiness and Rotation Accuracy Requirements

In 1991 SKF Group passed the cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, in­clud­ing ISO 90014 ­s­tan­dard, and de­vel­oped the new mod­ern tech­nolo­gies of the rolling bear­ings pro­duc­tion. Due to the­se tech­nolo­gies, to­tal con­trol of ev­ery bear­ing ele­ment and non­s­e­lec­tive assem­bling, SKF Group ob­tained the qual­i­ty, at which any stan­dard bear­ing, com­ing off its con­vey­er, cor­re­sponds to the nois­i­ness class QE6 and even to hard­er class QE5. At the same time any stan­dard deep groove ball bear­ing with the bore di­am­e­ter of in­ner ring up to 85 mm cor­re­sponds to the pre­ci­sion class P5 and nois­i­ness class on the bor­der be­tween QE4 and QE5, and with the di­am­e­ter from 85 up to 420 mm cor­re­sponds to the pre­ci­sion class P6 and nois­i­ness class on the bor­der be­tween QE5 and QE6. In this con­nec­tion SKF Group stopped mark­ing the spe­cial suf­fix­es in the bear­ing des­ig­na­tions (QE6, P6 etc.)

When order­ing bear­ings for the elec­tric mo­tors ap­pli­ca­tion, please, take this fact in­to con­sid­er­a­tion. For ex­am­ple, in­stead of the re­quired by you des­ig­na­tion 6206/QE6 or 6206/P6, we will of­fer you the bear­ings with the des­ig­na­tion 6206, which ex­cel as per their pa­ram­e­ters the class­es QE6 and P6.
